There was a time in a not so distant past after the rainy and power interrupted graduation day that you are thinking of what course are you going to take up in College. Fast forward to the present time, your son or daughter are now in the same thinking as you are years ago.....assuming you got kids in your late twenties.
Batch 87 Graduation |
What is the right course for Me? |
1.) Maritime Career
2.) Nursing
3.) Engineering
4.) Education
5.) Aviation
6.) Accounting
7.) HRM
8.) Tourism
9.) Military Career
10.) Priesthood
They are all good careers for your kids and surely can make them a good abiding citizen of our country. There's no doubt about that. In fact, you can attest your experiences and feats to your kids as a living proof of the careers they are going to pursue. For sure, they can't understand yet what is it really you are actually doing. They just know how you look good in uniform, the flashy or cool car you are driving from work, the balikbayan box you are sending, the nice and big house you are living and the kind of people you are dealing all day.
So Waht? |
So what motivating factors am I going to say to them???...
1. You can use this inspiring quotes from Bill Gates.
" Life is not fair, Get used to it."
" Don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world. If you do so, you are insulting yourself.”
" Television is not real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.” " Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose".
" If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.”
2. You can also use this motivating words from Arnold Schwarzenegger.
" Trust yourself no matter what anyone thinks of you. Think Who do you want to be, not What you want to be"
" Break some of the Rules, not the Law - think out of the Box. It goes the same with what Steve Job of Apple says " Stay hungry and foolish".
" Do not be afraid to Fail, do not be afraid to make decisions.
" Work and Study Like Hell"
" Give something back."
Just One More Thing... You know you want the best for your kids the same thing our parents raised us in the 70's and the 80's. The rules changed but the basics stay the same. We don't want them to be the menace in our society. We want them to be a God fearing and Success Oriented person. We want them to exceed our accomplishments and that they will contribute to make our place a better place to live in.
